Sneek Peek at THE RISE OF NARNIA
Elliot sat on the hard, wooden chair, reading. He suddenly felt as if he was sitting in a parlor chair. It was quite hard to, but he looked up from his book. It seemed as if he was in a parlor chair on the middle of a cliff. He stood and looked far off the cliff. A small shining ball [as if a ball you bounce] far away. "My, who are you?" asked a very small and strange voice. Elliot turned around. To his surprise he saw a little dwarf with a white beard, green clothes, a red hat, and green, cloth, shoes. He was about 1 or 2ft. tall and very green in clothes. "I'm Elliot, 5 years old, and.... the youngest in my family," Elliot said after overcoming his shock. "You look like a son of Adam," the dwarf pointed out. "Hey, Stina, Mara, look at this!" Two mice scrambled out of the woods. They were pretty but wore rags. "Oh let us give this news to Aslan!" the two mice squealed "The thrones of Cair Paravel be full!" And they scurried away, rags dropping as if two rag drops fell from the sky. Elliot ran to the chair and found himself back home. "Grandmother Lucy!" he cried happily as he took to his tricycle. If you were to look back you would've seen his nanny throw the door open and run out screaming for Elliot. Now the thing is she ran out holding her cap, but didn't notice her dress was showing her pantaloons. Elliot pedaled down the street. The fog lifted as he arrived. He burst inside and ran up the stairs and thrust open the door still with enough energy to outrun 1 cheetah, 5 gazelles, and 10 zebras. "Honey," Lucy said "Will you give me that pillow and sit down here beside me and tell me about your day." Lucy was no longer young, fresh, and well, but old, tired, and had a bad cold. Elliot sat down. "I've been to Narny'a!" he cried. Lucy almost jumped. "I was in a chair. The wood carved itself and I was on a cliff!" This time Lucy jumped, to her cane. They went down the street to where Elliot lived. "I've been!" he told the others.
