The Man and His Worries

There was once a boy,
who was allergic not to joy,
   but to worries.
He would grow so TALL that everyone else seemed small.
         And when he grew Up,
he couldn't even see his pup.
Once said a rich man, " If you have lots of money,
                                              you will never ever worry."
   But that was not true.
Another man said, "Go shoot a deer,
                                        with blood of red."
  But that was a lie.
      As he walked to work,
he worried a lot,
he worried about the soup in his pot!
     He worried 'bout this,
he worried 'bout that,
he even worried about his hat!
Then suddenly out of the blue,
he shot right up,
along with his shoe!
Oh come! What would he do?
   He tried to be calm,
and he shrank right back.
No more worry,
into a snow flurry!
He held his hat and ran along,
 he was so stressed,
he knew something was wrong!
He felt like a fish,
 he needed a wish!
   He did not work,
he could not do it!
He pitched a fit,
all the way through it!
   When he went home,
he stomped through the door!
Oh what sadness!
Oh what madness!
    When he saw the Bible,
what a piece of junk.
It was only a paper hunk!
     But he opened its pages,
all musty and brown,
his whole life would turn around!
And there in letters so black and bold,
            Behold!
    Jesus, a Savoir,
and little lowly babe,
came to save!
 Oh now he knew!
He didn't have to break the bank he broke when 10,
and put it back together all over again!
  No, no.
It was too clear what to do!
  Stop worrying and you too!
     He no longer grew,
when stressed or sad,
he just knew,
to call his dad,
    God!
 Do not worry ,
and do not fret,
God is there,
he didn't know yet!
"Can any of you add a single cubit to his height by worrying?"
          Matthew 6:27
