The Magical Study of Mirrors

Prologue    Dear reader, you have probably looked in a mirror before and noticed your reflection staring back at you. According to science, this is caused by light reflecting off the mirror glass. Thus, any magical existence in the mirror is looked down upon and therefore expelled from all wonder. Well, most of it anyways.  But according to the study of the realms and the belief of magic, the mirror is a very magical component. It is created when two realms, almost exactly the same, touch face (almost literally except for the face part) and a rip occurs in the fabric of realms and magic. Thus, you see another being in the mirror, not yourself. The being lives a life almost exactly the same as yours, except that everything in the being's world is backwards.  This presents the study of mirrors in an entirely d...

The Bald Frog

Once there was a poor old frog who had once been a prince. He felt sad on his lily pad for when he had been a prince he had had a full head of long, curly hair. He now felt uncomfortably bald (and uncomfortably nauseous, he still had butterflies in his stomach). He thought that perhaps he could find some dog hair to cover his poor, slimy head. He hopped in a very froggy manner to his dog. But sadly, as all frogs do, he had to ribbit. His big, slick mouth opened to release a long ribbit that was satisfying for the moment. But the next moment he regretted that ribbit. For 30 minutes he was hopping hurriedly around the garden with a hunting-instinct-activated dog at his tail. He eventually hopped into the sewer (which the sewer used) where he thought about chickens. The slick sewage reminded him of bird poop and he set off to the chicken coop. Again, he let out a long ribbit and the rooster and his "court of ladies" chased the poor frog for 45 minutes, pecking dangerously close...

The Wife of Hades

Prologue   Perhaps you are familiar with the story of The 12 Dancing Princesses. In the version I have read, the 12 princesses dance in the underworld every night. They are locked up in their room, but every night their shoes become worn because they have been dancing in the underworld. Eventually, a prince spies on them and the king rewards him. Then he marries one of the princesses and all is well.    This is my version of that tale, and mine focuses more on what happens down in Hades. And what could have happened on Earth.   Oh, dear reader, might I call you that? We've reached the doors to their room. Help me lift the bolt....
